Is Your Retail Business Ready to Open? OC Health & Orange County Business Council Clarify Covid-19 Guidelines & Enforcement
Today a meeting held by Dr. Clayton Chau from the Orange County Health Care Agency and Lucy Dunn, President of the Orange County Business Council, was conducted to touch on guidelines and orders in the county for businesses during Covid-19. "This is not about paranoia, the coronavirus is three months young in science. Yes, we know a lot but we still have a lot more to learn because don't know. We don't have the vaccine yet and it won't be online for another at least 18 months. We know the infection is out there," Dr. Chau said.
Orange County has seen protesting over the past few weeks in support of opening businesses and resuming life. As impatient as county residents may be, there are some challenges Orange County has to face outside the county before opening up. In a press conference Monday, Governor Newsom said any decisions on reopening would be done in collaboration with other western states. Currently there is a Western Pact with California and four other Western states.
Lake Forest's South Orange County Entrepreneurs Program has been nominated for the Business Retention And Expansion category at the 'Turning Red Tape Into Red Carpet Awards.' The Orange County Business Council will be holding awards November 20 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm at The Center in Costa Mesa. "OCBC will present awards in various categories to OC’s public agencies for programs that cut through red tape and open the door for business growth and success." According to OCBC, "OCBC will recognize six outstanding public agencies who are proactively cutting through the red tape and opening the door for business.
