Lake Forest Enters Stage 2 of Reopening
Today Lake Forest opened some businesses under stage two of local and state guidelines named the "Resilience Roadmap." Businesses may open as long as they comply with the guidelines voted on by the Orange County Board of Supervisors as well as state and federal orders.

Western States Pact may Keep Orange County Waiting to Open Businesses
Orange County has seen protesting over the past few weeks in support of opening businesses and resuming life. As impatient as county residents may be, there are some challenges Orange County has to face outside the county before opening up. In a press conference Monday, Governor Newsom said any decisions on reopening would be done in collaboration with other western states. Currently there is a Western Pact with California and four other Western states.

The Lake Forest Chamber of Commerce held a live stream on Facebook today discussing city efforts to help local businesses during the covid-19 pandemic. ake Forest Council Member Dwight Robinson said the Lake Forest Economic Development team has been reaching out to businesses and is available for help and questions.

Thursday night Governor Newsom ordered the state of California to stay at home in an attempt to slow the spread of covid-19. The 'stay at home' order requires over 35 million residents to not leave their homes unless it is for an essential job, food shopping or to receive medical treatment and prescriptions.
