Is Your Retail Business Ready to Open? OC Health & Orange County Business Council Clarify Covid-19 Guidelines & Enforcement
Today a meeting held by Dr. Clayton Chau from the Orange County Health Care Agency and Lucy Dunn, President of the Orange County Business Council, was conducted to touch on guidelines and orders in the county for businesses during Covid-19. "This is not about paranoia, the coronavirus is three months young in science. Yes, we know a lot but we still have a lot more to learn because don't know. We don't have the vaccine yet and it won't be online for another at least 18 months. We know the infection is out there," Dr. Chau said.
Last weekend County Health Officer Nichole Quick issued new guidelines for Orange County. 16 reasons were listed for understanding the need for increased safety measures citing a strong likelihood of a large and increasing number of cases of community transmission, a lack of a vaccine and CDC guidelines for Covid-19.
Thursday night Governor Newsom ordered the state of California to stay at home in an attempt to slow the spread of covid-19. The 'stay at home' order requires over 35 million residents to not leave their homes unless it is for an essential job, food shopping or to receive medical treatment and prescriptions.
