May 16 Marks Opening for Parks, Camping & Parking Lots
Orange County is reopening over 60,000 acres of regional and wilderness parks along with camping on May 16 after a two-month long shut down. The Orange County Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to reopen parking lots across the county this weekend with the exception of beach parking lots which will remain closed. OC Beaches Open Just in Time for Bioluminescence
Bioluminescence has made its way to Orange County shores for the first time in three years and today residents can see it just in time as OC beaches reopen under state approval. The phenomenon made its way onto Orange County shores in the last week of April and has been attracting residents to beaches after sunset. Supervisor Lisa Bartlett made a Facebook post earlier today saying Orange County received approval from the state to open county beaches for recreational activities.
