Free Covid-19 testing has become available to essential workers at state sites throughout Orange County.
Who Can Get A Test
Essential workers without access to healthcare through their employer or medical insurance are eligible for free Covid-19 testing in Orange County.
In a press release from the Orange County Healthcare Agency, four state sites will be testing essential workers by appointment if they fit testing criteria and would like a test.
Essential workers seeking a test can take the evaluation test online HERE to see if they qualify for an appointment. The evaluation test asks for your state of residence and then runs through a series of prompts about possible exposure, health history and employment information. Appointments are made online via the website after the test determines your eligibility.

Testing Sites
Free testing sites are located in San Juan Capistrano, Buena Park, Orange and Santa Ana for both symptomatic and asymptomatic social service employees, healthcare workers, first responders, and other essential employees who don’t have access to testing through their employer or medical insurance.
The Covid-19 testing at the sites is a PCR diagnostic test facilitated by OptumServe. OptumServe is the federal health services business of Optum, the largest healthcare provider in the United States.
California partnered with OptumServe at the end of April in its mission to expand Covid-19 testing for California residents.
