County of Orange Partially Opens Beach Parking. Parking with reduced capacity reopened at Salt Creek, Strands and Baby beaches in Dana Point. The coastal lot reopened at Aliso Beach in South Laguna, with the inland lot remaining closed. Parking at Capistrano Beach is closed for maintenance.

Orange County is reopening over 60,000 acres of regional and wilderness parks along with camping on May 16 after a two-month long shut down. The Orange County Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to reopen parking lots across the county this weekend with the exception of beach parking lots which will remain closed. Today Lake Forest opened some businesses under stage two of local and state guidelines named the "Resilience Roadmap." Businesses may open as long as they comply with the guidelines voted on by the Orange County Board of Supervisors as well as state and federal orders.
Bioluminescence has made its way to Orange County shores for the first time in three years and today residents can see it just in time as OC beaches reopen under state approval. The phenomenon made its way onto Orange County shores in the last week of April and has been attracting residents to beaches after sunset. Supervisor Lisa Bartlett made a Facebook post earlier today saying Orange County received approval from the state to open county beaches for recreational activities.
