Beach Parking Partially Reopens in Orange County
County of Orange Partially Opens Beach Parking. Parking with reduced capacity reopened at Salt Creek, Strands and Baby beaches in Dana Point. The coastal lot reopened at Aliso Beach in South Laguna, with the inland lot remaining closed. Parking at Capistrano Beach is closed for maintenance.

4 NEW COVID-19 TESTING SITES IN ORANGE COUNTY. The following press release was sent by the Orange County Health Agency, an outside organization. Following Governor Gavin Newsom’s recent announcement to add more than 80 community-testing sites focused on underserved communities across the state, the OC Health Care Agency (HCA) has partnered with the California Department of Public Health to launch four new testing sites in the cities of Buena Park, Orange, Santa Ana and San Juan Capistrano.
May 16 Marks Opening for Parks, Camping & Parking Lots
Orange County is reopening over 60,000 acres of regional and wilderness parks along with camping on May 16 after a two-month long shut down. The Orange County Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to reopen parking lots across the county this weekend with the exception of beach parking lots which will remain closed. Orange County Supervisor Andrew Do stated in a Press Release "Many Orange County residents do not live within walking distance of a park, especially our seniors and disabled residents," said Vice Chairman Andrew Do, First District Supervisor. Lake Forest Enters Stage 2 of Reopening
Today Lake Forest opened some businesses under stage two of local and state guidelines named the "Resilience Roadmap." Businesses may open as long as they comply with the guidelines voted on by the Orange County Board of Supervisors as well as state and federal orders.
OC Beaches Open Just in Time for Bioluminescence
Bioluminescence has made its way to Orange County shores for the first time in three years and today residents can see it just in time as OC beaches reopen under state approval. The phenomenon made its way onto Orange County shores in the last week of April and has been attracting residents to beaches after sunset. Supervisor Lisa Bartlett made a Facebook post earlier today saying Orange County received approval from the state to open county beaches for recreational activities.
City Hall to Reopen May 18 – Lake Forest 4th of July Parade Cancelled
Lake Forest has decided to reopen city hall to the public on May 18 and will hold it's first city council meeting the following day May 19. Lake Forest's 4th of July parade has been cancelled.
